Flannel Lined Jeans
From LoveToKnow Men's Fashion
Flannel lined jeans are a comfortable and stylish way to stay warm during the colder months.
Why Choose Flannel Jeans?
There are jeans and then there are flannel lined jeans. What makes these jeans different from the rest? Try some of these factors on for size:
- Super Comfortable: You know how great it feels on a dreary and cold mornings, to snuggle up in bed with, wonderfully warm and worn flannel sheets? Right. Now imagine having that delicious feeling encasing your thighs and legs all day long. Exactly!
- Warm: The warmth these jeans give, particularly in areas that have brutally harsh winters, in a tremendous asset. Regular jeans are pretty cold to the touch, particularly during winter. These jeans don’t give off that same cool to the touch feeling.
Additionally, because flannel jeans are lined, you may also be able to get away without too much layering. This is particularly great for those that loathe the bulky look.
- Long lasting: While it's true, at least generally speaking, that jeans last for a pretty long time, flannel jeans because they are line, usually last for a very long time. Not only is that great news for you wardrobe, but it's also great for you budget.
- Great for the Outdoors: Whether you work outside, or like to spend a lot of time outdoors, be it through camping and the like, you'll find that these warm, comfortable jeans are just the thing you need in order to "rough it" successfully.
Shopping For Flannel Lined Jeans
Luckily, there are several online shopping sites one can visit to find flannel lined jeans. Consider some of the following:
L.L. Bean
What you’ll like best about L.L. Bean is their wide selection of pants, as well as the long lasting nature of their products. Some of the styles available here include the Flannel Lined Double L Jeans in a Classic Fit, a Relaxed Fit, and a Comfort Fit.
With the Classic Fit, expect a pair of jeans that's much like any other pair; a trim fit and a rugged, overall look. Note too that this is the trimmest fit (i.e., straight legged look) of the bunch.
For $45.95, two colors are available; stonewashed and khaki denim. On the other hand, the natural fit is roomier in the seat and the legs (it's also cheaper at $29.95), and more colors, from faded to black, are available. If you prefer a great level of comfort, you can also try the Relaxed Fit. This is the "loosest" fit and it offers plenty of room in the seat and the legs.
The final category of flannel jeans is the Comfort Waist. L.L. Bean describes this look as having plenty of room in the seat and legs, with a "discreet side-elastic" for "all-day comfort". If you are still not quite sure that these are the jeans for you, take a look at the Customer Review section. Here you’ll find no dearth of opinions, and happily the majority of those opinions are quite favorable (many give the jeans over a four-star rating).
Cabela's
Cabela's has a wide ranging collection. In fact, the selection is so vast; you may not even be sure where to start you search! Luckily, there is a convenient box at the top of the page that relays consumer's top picks. There, you'll find Salmon River Traders flannel jeans and Carhartt Fleeced Line Wo0rk Fit Jeans, but this look is a bit more expensive at $51.95.
NexTag
NexTag is not an actual store, but a site that gives a compilation of all the various flannel jeans one can find on the internet. While it's not a complete list, it does list several different stores that are worth visiting.
Additionally, it may also save you some time, since all of the items are in one place. For example, here you can find Dickies Stonewashed Flannel Lined Carpenter Jeans at Super Casuals; a site that might not ordinarily come up doing a search. Note that these jeans come in the relaxed fit style, but they are indeed fully lined.
Putting It All Together
All in all, flannel jeans are a fantastic buy for those that work outdoors, or who spend a lot of time outdoors. In addition to being super warm and comfortable, many of these jeans are priced affordably enough to buy more than one pair. Take your time and do your research because these pants may be well worth it.
