Synyster Gates Clothing
From LoveToKnow Men's Fashion
Synyster Gates Clothing founder, Synyster Gates, was born Brian Elwin Haner, Jr. "Syn" is the lead guitarist and back up singer for the metal band Avenged Sevenfold.
As a musician, Synyster uses mostly custom made guitars as well as high end instruments from Gibson Guitars, Parker Guitars, and Ibanez Guitars. Therefore, it makes sense that he would want to develop his own distinct line of clothing. Plus, Syn is following in the footsteps of other musicians who have launched clothing lines in recent years including:
- Gwen Stefani of No Doubt with her L.A.M.B. collection
- P. Diddy and his popular Sean John line
- Justin Timberlake with his William Rast label
- Jay-Z and the trendy Rocawear collection
- Bon Jovi's Rock Star Baby line
The clothing collection is like an extension of concert Ts. The son of a musician and California kid who grew up in Huntington Beach and then attended the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, Synyster designs for the man who is most comfortable in concert Ts and jeans or baggy trousers.

Imagery
The clothing features some disturbing images of skeletons, reapers and women in bondage. The clothing collection mirrors Syn's band's music which is ripe with apocalyptic and misogynistic imagery.
There is also a very small collection of women's T shirts which are decorated with skull and cross charms. Conveniently, none of the women's items feature pictures of half-dressed women or women in bondage.
More about Synyster
Synyster Gates started playing in Avenged Sevenfold at the age of eighteen. He and some members of the band also had a side group called Pinkly Smooth which they abandoned to focus on the main band. While some of their lyrics may be disturbing, there is no denying that Synyster and his band mates are passionate and hardworking. These attributes show up in their music and Syn's entrepreneurial clothing collection.
Where to Buy
Synyster Gates' clothes and accessories are only sold through limited distribution online. Items can be purchased at Merch.com and at Syngates.com. Items usually ship in one to three business days and can be returned within thirty days for a refund or merchandise credit.
In addition, some items are sold on eBay. Sites like YouTube and MySpace also have information and fan sites on the collection.
For the Rockers
Synyster Gates clothing is ideal for the wanna-be rocker who longs for the days of dressing in black concert tees, Levis and work boots. The collection is modestly priced and available online..
