Synyster Gates Clothing founder, Synyster Gates, was born Brian Elwin Haner, Jr. "Syn" is the lead guitarist and back up singer for the metal band Avenged Sevenfold.

As a musician, Synyster uses mostly custom made guitars as well as high end instruments from Gibson Guitars, Parker Guitars, and Ibanez Guitars. Therefore, it makes sense that he would want to develop his own distinct line of clothing. Imagery

The clothing features some disturbing images of skeletons, reapers and women in bondage. The clothing collection mirrors Syn's band's music which is ripe with apocalyptic and misogynistic imagery.

There is also a very small collection of women's T shirts which are decorated with skull and cross charms. Conveniently, none of the women's items feature pictures of half-dressed women or women in bondage.

Synyster Gates started playing in Avenged Sevenfold at the age of eighteen. He and some members of the band also had a side group called Pinkly Smooth which they abandoned to focus on the main band.
